The ground bears the crop of itself--first the blade, then the ear, and then the full grain in the ear;
So, when the blades of corn shot up, and came into ear, the tares made their appearance also.
And then sleeps by night and rises by day, while the seed is shooting up and growing--he knows not how.
But, as soon as the crop is ready, immediately he 'puts in the sickle because harvest has come'."
For of this I am confident, that he who began a good work in you will complete it in readiness for the Day of Jesus Christ.
Then you will live lives worthy of the Master, and so please God in every way. Your lives will be fruitful in every kind of good action, and your characters will grow through a fuller knowledge of God;
