And Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released Barabbas to them, and, after scourging Jesus, gave him up to be crucified.

And give him up to the Gentiles for them to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify; and on the third day he will rise."

The Pilate released Barabbas to them; but Jesus he scourged, and gave him up to be crucified.

Who will mock him, spit upon him, and scourge him, and put him to death; and after three days he will rise again."

"Why, what harm has he done?" Pilate kept saying to them. But they shouted furiously: "Crucify him!"

They will scourge him, and then put him to death; and on the third day he will rise again."

So I shall have him scourged, and then release him."

After that, Pilate had Jesus scourged.

Whereupon Pilate gave Jesus up to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus;

But, after the lapse of two years, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and, wishing to gain popularity with the Jews, he left Paul a prisoner.

But, as Festus wished to gain popularity with the Jews, he interrupted Paul with the question: "Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and be tried on these charges before me there?"

I did not, however, see any other Apostle, except James, the Master's brother.

And he 'himself carried our sins' in his own body to the cross, so that we might die to our sins, and live for righteousness. 'His bruising was your healing.'
