Pilate, however, spoke to them again: "What shall I do then with the man whom you call the 'King of the Jews'?"
'Say to the daughter of Zion--"Behold, thy King is coming to thee, Gentle, and riding on an ass, And on the foal of a beast of burden."'
But the Chief Priests incited the crowd to get Barabbas released instead.
Again they shouted: "Crucify him!"
And they began to accuse him: "This is a man whom we found misleading our people, preventing them from paying taxes to the Emperor, and giving out that he himself is 'Christ, a King.'"
It is this Jesus whom God has exalted to his right hand, to be a Guide and a Savior, to give Israel repentance and forgiveness of sins.
