And there some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man: "Courage, Child! Your sins are forgiven."

Which, I ask, is the easier?--to say 'Your sins are forgiven'? or to say 'Get up, and walk about'?

Which is easier?--to say to the paralyzed man, 'Your sins are forgiven'? or to say 'Get up, and take up your mat, and walk about'?

When Jesus became aware of the way in which they were debating, he turned to them and exclaimed: "What are you debating with yourselves?

But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"-- he spoke to the paralyzed man--"To you I say, Get up, and take up your pallet, and go to your home."

Then he said to the woman: "Your sins have been pardoned."
