So Zacchaeus got down quickly, and joyfully welcomed him.
When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him: "Zacchaeus, be quick and come down, for I must stop at your house to-day."
On seeing this, every one began to complain: "He has gone to stay with a man who is an outcast."
So they went quickly, and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in a manger;
And Levi gave a great entertainment at his house, in honor of Jesus; and a large number of tax-gatherers and others were at table with them.
And, when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us to become her guests. "Since you have shown your conviction," she said, "that I really am a believer in the Lord, come and stay in my house." And she insisted on our doing so.
Afterwards he took them up to his house and set before them something to eat, rejoicing that he, with all his household, had come to believe in God.
So those who accepted his teaching were baptized, and about three thousand people joined the disciples on that day alone.
