In fulfillment of the words of the Prophet Isaiah, where he says--'Lord, who has believed our teaching? And to whom has the might of the Lord been revealed?'

Hypocrites! It was well said by Isaiah when he prophesied about you--

"Blessed are you, Simon, Son of Jonah," Jesus replied. "For no human being has revealed this to you, but my Father who is in Heaven.

When they had crucified him, they divided his clothes among them by casting lots.

But, though Jesus had given so many signs of his mission before their eyes, they still did not believe in him,

The reason why they were unable to believe is given by Isaiah elsewhere, in these words--

And so is fulfilled what is said in their Law--'They hated me without cause.'

Whilst I was with them, I kept them by that revelation, and I have guarded them; and not one of them has been lost, except that lost soul--in fulfillment of Scripture.

So they said to one another: "Do not let us tear it, but let us cast lots for it, to see who shall have it." This was in fulfillment of the words of Scripture--'They shared my clothes among them, And over my clothing they cast lots.' That was what the soldiers did.

Still, it may be said, every one did not give heed to the Good News. No, for Isaiah asks--'Lord, who has believed our teaching?'

And Isaiah says boldly--'I was found by those who were not seeking me; I made myself known to those who were not inquiring of me.

But to those who have received the Call, whether Jews or Greeks, Christ, the Power of God and the Wisdom of God!

Saw fit to reveal his Son in me, so that I might tell the Good News of him among the Gentiles, then at once, instead of consulting any human being,
