Then Peter began to swear, with most solemn imprecations: "I do not know the man." At that moment a cock crowed;

I, however, say to you--Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,

Therefore my heart was cheered, and my tongue told its delight; Yes, even my body, too, will rest in hope;

'And their mouths are full of bitter curses.'

A man ought not to have his head covered, for he has been from the beginning 'the likeness of God' and the reflection of his glory, but woman is the reflection of man's glory.

Blessed is the God and Father of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who has blessed us on high with every spiritual blessing, in Christ.

That religious observance which is pure and spotless in the eyes of God our Father is this--to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the world.

From the very same mouth come blessings and curses! My Brothers, it is not right that this should be so.

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has, in his great mercy, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
