Ephesians 1:23

For the Church is Christ's Body, and is filled by him who fills all things everywhere with his presence.

Out of his fullness we have all received some gift, gift after gift of love;

You are bound, therefore, to obey, not only through fear of God's punishments, but also as a matter of conscience.

Results differ, yet the God who brings about every result is in every case the same.

And, when everything has been placed under him, the Son will place himself under God who placed everything under him, that God may be all in all!

And when, upon the cross, he had destroyed their mutual enmity, he sought by means of his cross to reconcile them both to God, united in one Body.

So that now to the Archangels and to all the Powers on high should be made known, through the Church, the all-embracing wisdom of God,

And to understand--though it surpasses all understanding--the love of the Christ; and so be filled to the full with God himself.

He who went down is the same as he who went up--up beyond the highest Heaven, that he might fill all things with his presence.

To fit his People for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the Body of the Christ.

And this shall continue, until we all attain to that unity which is given by faith and by a fuller knowledge of the Son of God; until we reach the ideal man--the full standard of the perfection of the Christ.

There is but one Body and one Spirit, just as there was but one hope set before you when you received your Call.

Now at last I can rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf, and in my own person I supplement the afflictions endured by the Christ, for the sake of his Body, the Church;

He fails to maintain union with the Head, to whom it is due that the whole body, nourished and knit together by the contact and Keynesian of every part, grows with a divine growth.

In that new life there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, freeman; but Christ is all!--and in all!

Let the Peace that the Christ gives decide all doubts within your hearts; for you also were called to the enjoyment of peace as members of one Body. And show yourselves thankful.
