For to love God is to lay his commands to heart; and his commands are not burdensome,
While they make up heavy loads and pile them on other men's shoulder's they decline, themselves, to lift a finger to move them.
If you love me, you will lay my commands to heart,
If you lay my commands to heart, you will remain in my love; just as I have laid the Father's commands to heart and remain in his love.
And you are my friends, if you do what I command you.
And so the Law is holy, and each Commandment is also holy, and just, and good.
At heart I delight in the Law of God;
"This is the Covenant that I will make with the People of Israel After those days," says the Lord. "I will impress my laws on their minds, and will inscribe them on their hearts; And I will be their God, and they shall be my People.
And by this we know that we have learned to know him--by our laying his commands to heart.
And this is love--to live in obedience to the Father's commands. This is the Command as you learned from the first, to live in a spirit of love.
