When I think of it, I am terrified and my flesh shudders.

Their homes have peace and are free from fear; no rod of God is on them.

Behold, such are the wicked— always at ease and amassing wealth.

But when we are judged, we are being disciplined by the Lord so that we might not be condemned along with the world.

But if you are without discipline—something all have come to share—then you are illegitimate and not sons.

Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore, be zealous and repent.
