Keeping our soul in life, He has not let our foot slip.
He will not let your foot slip. Your Keeper will not slumber.
Surely he will never be shaken. The righteous are remembered forever.
If I say: “My foot has slipped,” Your mercy, Adonai, will hold me up.
for ‘In Him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His offspring.’
For a scepter of wickedness will not rest over the land of the righteous— lest the righteous set their hands to evil.
My soul, wait in stillness, only for God— from Him comes my salvation.
For the kingdom belongs to Adonai, and He rules over the nations.
If anyone rises to pursue you and seek your life, then let my lord’s life be bound up in the bundle of the living—with Adonai your God. But let the soul of your enemies be hurled away as from the hollow of a sling.
He guards the steps of His godly ones, but the wicked are silenced in darkness. For one does not prevail by might.
My soul, wait in stillness, only for God— for from Him comes my expectation.
Cast your burden on Adonai, and He will sustain you. He will never let the righteous be shaken.
