A contemplative song of Asaph. Why have You cast us off forever, O God? Why does Your anger smolder against the flock of Your pasture?
In the night I remember my song. I meditate with my heart and my spirit is searching.
Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, as a warrior shaking off wine.
But I—I cried out to You, Adonai, and in the morning my prayer meets You.
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Adonai, awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not You who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the dragon?
But Yeshua was in the back of the boat, sleeping on a pillow. They wake Him up and say to Him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are perishing?”
