Yet when I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended to accomplish it, behold, it all was futile and chasing after the wind. There was nothing to be gained under the sun.

All the nations are as nothing before Him. By Him they are accounted null and void.

Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. What is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

But don’t forget this one thing, loved ones, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
