His memory perishes from the earth and he has no name in the land.

He does not take His eyes from the righteous, but enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.

Adonai is King forever and ever! Nations will be wiped off His land.

In my distress I called on Adonai, and cried to my God for help. From His Temple He heard my voice, my cry before Him came into His ears.

Behold, the eyes of Adonai are on those who fear Him, waiting for His love,

He who planted the ear, does He not hear? He who formed the eye, does He not see?

The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.

Adonai is far from the wicked, but hears the prayer of the righteous.

Then I saw the wicked buried—they used to come and go from the holy place, but will soon be forgotten in the very city where they did this. This too is meaningless.

Adonai, You are the hope of Israel! All who forsake You will be ashamed. Those who depart from You will be written in the dirt, for they have forsaken Adonai, the fountain of living waters.

Therefore thus says Adonai-Tzva’ot, the God of Israel: “I will soon set My face against you for calamity, to cut off all Judah.

“Anyone from the house of Israel, or from the outsiders dwelling among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul—the one who eats blood—and will cut him off from among his people.

I will set My face against you and you will be routed before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one pursues you.

If they should go into captivity before their enemies, from there I will command the sword to slay them. I will set My eyes upon them for calamity and not for prosperity.”
