The sea saw and fled, the Jordan turned back.
With your arm You redeemed Your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. Adonai drove the sea back with a strong east wind throughout the night and turned the sea into dry land. So the waters were divided.
You marched forth, Your horses in the sea— much water foaming.
Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? Who divided the waters before them— to make Himself a Name forever?
He rebuked the Sea of Reeds and it dried up, and He led them through the depths as through a wilderness.
At Your rebuke the waters fled. At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
You opened up spring and brook. You dried up ever-flowing rivers.
With the blast of Your nostrils the waters piled up. The floods stood upright as a heap. The deeps became firm ground in the heart of the sea.
The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You and writhed, even the depths shook.
