For He stands at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who condemn his soul.
They say: “With our tongue we’ll prevail. We own our lips—who can master us?”
who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives bread to the hungry. Adonai sets the prisoners free.
All my bones will say: “Adonai, who is like You, rescuing the poor from one too strong for him, the poor and needy from one who robs him?”
For he rescues the needy crying for help, also the poor and the one with no helper.
May he vindicate the poor of the people, save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.
He judges the world in righteousness and governs the peoples justly.

Father and mother have been treated with contempt; the outsider has been oppressed in your midst; the orphan and the widow have been mistreated in you.
“And the slave said, ‘Master, I have done as you instructed, and still there is room.’
But you have dishonored the poor person. Isn’t it the rich who oppress you and drag you into court?
