When you walk, they will guide you. When you lie down, they will watch over you, and when you wake up, they will speak to you.
I have treasured Your word in my heart, so I might not sin against You.
My eyes are up before every night watch, as I meditate on Your word.
For Your testimonies are my delight— they are also my counselors.
Your decrees have become my songs in the house where I dwell.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word.
O how I love Your Torah! It is my meditation all day.
As for the deeds of mankind— by the word of Your lips I have kept out of the ways of the violent.
I lie down and sleep. I awake—for Adonai sustains me.
Send forth Your light and Your truth— let them guide me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your dwelling places.
Discretion will watch over you —discernment will guard you—
