But he disregarded the counsel that the elders had given him and consulted with the young men who grew up with him and served him.

He did evil in the sight of Adonai, like the house of Ahab, for they were his counselors after his father’s death—to his destruction.

A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning away from evil.

Walk away from a fool— for you will find no knowledge on his lips.

Do not be friends with one given to anger or associate with a hot-tempered person,

lest you learn his ways, and entangle your soul in a snare.
