The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked perishes.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and shalom in trusting, so you may overflow with hope in the power of the Ruach ha-Kodesh.
Such are the ways of all who forget God; the hope of the godless perishes—
When the wicked dies, his hope perishes, and the hope of the strong vanishes.
Now may our Lord Yeshua the Messiah Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope,
rejoicing in hope, enduring in distress, persisting in prayer,
Through Him we also have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand and boast in the hope of God’s glory.
The wicked is brought down in his calamity yet the righteous has a refuge even in death.
The wicked will see it and be indignant. He will gnash with his teeth and waste away. The desire of the wicked will perish.
But the eyes of the wicked will fail, and escape will elude them; their only hope is their dying breath.”
So my heart is glad and my soul rejoices. My body also rests secure.
The desire of the righteous is only good, but the hope of the wicked only wrath.
But let the righteous be glad. Let them exult before God. Let them rejoice with gladness.
In an evil man’s wrongdoing is a trap, but the righteous sings and rejoices.
