Now when it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had also become a disciple of Yeshua.
His grave was given with the wicked, and by a rich man in His death, though He had done no violence, nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
This man went to Pilate and asked for Yeshua’s body. Then Pilate ordered it to be given up.
When John’s disciples heard, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.
When they had carried out all that had been written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.
Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of the hill country of Ephraim—his name was Elkanah son of Jeroham son of Elihu son of Tohu son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.
Then his return was to Ramah, because his home was there, and from there he would judge Israel. So he built an altar to Adonai there.
