How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is permitted to do good on Shabbat.”
And He told them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a sower went out to spread some seed.
Whoever falls on this stone will be shattered; but the one upon whom it falls, it will crush him.”
Although they were trying to seize Him, they feared the crowds, because they regarded Him as a prophet.
But answering, one of the Torah lawyers says to Him, “Teacher, when You say these things, You insult us too.”
The Torah scholars and the ruling kohanim tried to grab Him that very hour, because they realized that He spoke this parable against them—but they feared the people.
