They dress Him up in purple. After braiding a crown of thorns, they put it on Him.

The soldiers took Him away, into the palace, the governor’s mansion called the Praetorium. And they call together the cohort of soldiers.

And they began to salute Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

Now Herod together with his soldiers were treating Him with contempt and mocking Him. They put splendid clothing on Him and sent Him back to Pilate.
