He’s not the God of the dead, but of the living. You have gone far astray!”
My son, if you stop heeding instruction, you will stray from words of knowledge.
But answering, Yeshua said to them, “You’ve gone astray, because you don’t understand the Scriptures or the power of God.
‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living!”
Yeshua said to them, “Isn’t this the reason you’ve gone astray, because you don’t understand the Scriptures or the power of God?
Now He is God not of the dead but of the living, for to Him they all are living.”
For this reason Messiah died and lived again, so that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”). He is our father in the sight of God in whom he trusted, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence that which does not exist.
Therefore I was provoked by this generation, and I said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’
