I have become a laughing stock to all my people, their song all day long.

Adonai, You enticed me, so I was enticed. You overpowered me, and prevailed. I am a laughingstock all day long. Everyone mocks me.

Look at them, sitting or standing, they mock me in their song.

After all, Israel is a laughingstock to you. Was he ever found among thieves, that whenever you speak of him, you should wag the head?

For there our captors demanded songs and our tormentors asked for joy: “Sing us one of the songs of Zion.”

We have become a taunt to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to those around us.

You are selling Your people cheaply— not even getting a great price for them.
