Now all the Midianites, the Amalekites and the people of the east gathered together, crossed over and camped in the valley of Jezreel.

In that day I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”

Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him, rose up early and camped beside En-harod, while the camp of Midian was north of them, by Gibeath-moreh, in the valley.

So the 300 took provisions and their shofarot in their hands. He sent all the other men of Israel each to his tent, but he kept the 300 men. Now the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.
