Then Joshua and all Israel with him returned to the camp at Gilgal.

Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let’s go to Gilgal and reaffirm the kingdom there.”

Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month and camped at Gilgal on the eastern border of Jericho.

Thus Joshua captured all those kings and their lands at a single stroke, because Adonai God of Israel fought for Israel.

Now when Jabin king of Hazor heard about it, he sent word to Jobab king of Madon, to the king of Shimron, to the king of Achshaph,

and from Beth-gilgal, and from the fields of Geba and Azmavet, for the singers had built communities for themselves round about Jerusalem.
