Now those sent were from the Pharisees.
O blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside may become clean as well.

Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and sneering at Yeshua.
But the Pharisees and Torah lawyers, not having been immersed by John, declared God’s purpose invalid for themselves.
He said, “I am ‘the voice of one crying in the wilderness, “Make straight the way of Adonai,”’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”
They asked him, “If you’re not the Messiah, Elijah, or the Prophet, why then are you immersing?”
For the Sadducees say there is no resurrection or angel or spirit, but the Pharisees affirm them all.
They have known about me for a long time—if they were willing to testify—that according to the strictest sect of our religion, I lived as a Pharisee.
