“If He were to set His heart on it, and gather to Himself His Ruach and breath,
But when You hide Your face— they are dismayed. You take away their breath— they perish, and return to their dust.
He is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has resisted Him and come out whole?
They will be gathered together, like prisoners in the Pit, and will be shut up in the prison, and after many days be punished.
“What is mankind, that You magnify him, that You set Your heart on him,
In His hand is the life of every creature, and the breath of all the human race.
You turn mankind back to dust, saying, “Return, children of Adam!”
Then the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
