After this, Job opened his mouth and cursed his day.
For they embittered his spirit and he spoke rashly with his lips.
So Job opens his mouth with nonsense, without knowledge he multiplies words.”
“May the day I was born perish, and the night that said, ‘A man is conceived!’
But now, stretch out Your hand and strike his bone and his flesh, and he will certainly curse You to Your face!”
Through all this, Job did not sin nor did he cast reproach on God.
But now, stretch out Your hand and strike everything he has, and he will certainly curse You to Your face!”
Then they sat with him on the ground for seven days and seven nights. No one spoke a word to him because they saw that his pain was very great.
Then Job answered and said:
Oy to me, my mother, that you gave birth to me— a man of strife and conflict to all the land! I did not lend or borrow, yet everyone curses me.
