When He is in the north, I cannot perceive Him; When He turns south, I do not see Him.

I will wait for Adonai, who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob, and I will look eagerly for Him.

You cut short the days of his youth. You covered him with shame. Selah

If He were to pass by me, I would not see Him! Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him.

But, if I go to the east, He is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find Him.

Yet He knows the way that I take; if He tested me, I would come out as gold.

How much less when you say that you do not perceive Him that the case is before Him and you must wait for Him.

“Yet these things You have hid in Your heart, for I know that this is with You.

“But if He is quiet, who can condemn Him? If He hides His face, who can see Him? Yet He is over a nation and an individual alike,

Truly You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, Savior!
