But, if I go to the east, He is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find Him.
When He is in the north, I cannot perceive Him; When He turns south, I do not see Him.
“But if He is quiet, who can condemn Him? If He hides His face, who can see Him? Yet He is over a nation and an individual alike,
How much less when you say that you do not perceive Him that the case is before Him and you must wait for Him.
If He were to pass by me, I would not see Him! Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him.
Why, Adonai, are You standing far off? Why hide Yourself in times of trouble?
You hemmed me in behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.
Truly You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, Savior!
who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or is able to see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
