That is why I am terrified at His presence; when I consider this, I fear Him.
If I am guilty, woe to me! Even if I am innocent, I cannot lift my head. I am full of shame and conscious of my affliction.
For He fulfills the decree against me, and many such things are with Him.
God has made my heart faint; Shaddai has terrified me.
If only I knew where to find Him; if only I could go to His dwelling.
For calamity from God was a terror to me, and because of His majesty, I could do nothing.
My flesh shudders for fear of You, and I am in awe of Your judgments.
In the day of my trouble I seek my Lord. At night my hand stretches out untiringly. My soul refuses to be comforted.
I heard, and my belly trembled. My lips quivered at the sound. Decay comes into my bones. I tremble where I stand, since I must wait quietly for a day of distress to come up against the people who will invade us.
