Such is the wicked man’s lot from God, the heritage appointed to him by God.”

Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked; such is the place of one who does not know God.”

Then Job replied:

that the wicked are spared for the day of calamity that they are brought to the day of wrath?

‘Surely our foes are cut off, and fire consumes their abundance.’

“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, the inheritance that ruthless men receive from Shaddai.

This is your lot, the portion measured for you from Me.” It is a declaration of Adonai. “For you have forgotten Me and trusted in falsehood.

Is it not from the mouth of Elyon that both calamities and good things proceed?

And he will cut him in two and assign his place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
