For Your Name’s sake, Adonai, pardon my guilt, for it is great.

For Adonai will not forsake His people for His great Name’s sake, because it has pleased Adonai to make you a people to Himself.

But I acted, for the sake of My Name, to keep it from being profaned in the eyes of the nations, where they were, in whose sight I made Myself known to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt.

Prudence makes one slow to anger and his glory is to overlook an offense.

For when the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land hear of it, they will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. Then what will You do for Your great Name?”

Thus says Adonai: “As new wine is found in a cluster, and one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it,’ so I will do for My servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

But I had concern for My holy Name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went.
