After she weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived and bore a son.
The child grew and was weaned—Abraham made a big feast on the day Isaac was weaned.
Then she conceived again, and bore a daughter. And He said to him: “Name her Lo-ruhamah— for no longer will I have compassion on the house of Israel that I should ever pardon them.
But on the house of Judah I will have compassion and deliver them by Adonai, their God, yet not by bow, sword or battle, nor by horses and horsemen.”
Then He said: “Name him Lo-ammi, for you are not My people and I am not yours.”
