waiting from then on, until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet.
A psalm of David. Adonai declares to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”
“Now in the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will this kingdom be left to another people. It will crush and bring to an end all of these kingdoms. But it will endure forever.
For he says, ‘Adonai said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”’
David himself, through the Ruach ha-Kodesh, said, ‘Adonai said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”’
until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”’
For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet”?
