“You are to have just balances, an honest dry measure and an honest liquid measure.

Honest balances and scales are Adonai’s. All the weights in a bag are His handiwork.

Dishonest scales are an abomination to Adonai, but an accurate weight is His delight.

Ten acres of vineyard will yield six gallons, and an omer of seed will yield one ephah.

To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Adonai than sacrifice.

Unequal weights and measures— both are an abomination to Adonai.

You must have a full and honest weight and a full and honest measure, so that your days may be long on the land that Adonai your God is giving you.
