The word of Adonai came to me saying:
In that day there will be an altar to Adonai in the middle of the land of Egypt, and next to the border a pillar to Adonai.
Yes, he will come, and will strike the land of Egypt. Those for death—to death! Those for exile—to exile! Those for the sword—to the sword!
the word of Adonai came to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
The word of Adonai that came to the prophet Jeremiah concerning the nations.
On the first day of the first month of the twenty-seventh year, the word of Adonai came to me saying:
“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt. Prophesy against him and against all Egypt,
“In that day I will cause a horn to shoot up for the house of Israel. I will open your mouth among them. They will know that I am Adonai.”
“Son of man, prophesy, and say, thus says Adonai Elohim: ‘Wail, alas, for the day!
“For I have put My terror in the land of the living. He will lie among the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude.” It is a declaration of Adonai.
