Then Adonai said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand, and take it by the tail.” So he put out his hand, laid hold of it, and it became a staff in his hand.
Then he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra, trample the young lion and serpent.
Then He said, “Cast it on the ground.” When he cast it to the ground, it became a serpent, so Moses fled from before it.
“This is so that they may believe Adonai, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—has appeared to you.”
they will handle snakes; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”
Behold, I have given you authority to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
