But Moses said to Adonai, “Adonai, I am not a man of words—not yesterday, nor the day before, nor since You have spoken to Your servant—because I have a slow mouth and a heavy tongue.”
“Without a doubt you are the people and wisdom will die with you!
But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring Bnei-Yisrael out of Egypt?”
Then Moses said, “But look, they will not believe me or listen to my voice. They will say, ‘Adonai has not appeared to you.’”
But Moses said to Adonai, “Bnei-Yisrael have not listened to me. So how would Pharaoh listen to me—I, who have uncircumcised lips?”
But Moses said to Adonai, “I am of uncircumcised lips, so how would Pharaoh listen to me?”
Then I said, “Alas, Adonai Elohim! Look, I don’t know how to speak! For I’m still a boy!”
When I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was powerful in his words and deeds.
for they say, “His letters are weighty and strong, but his presence in person is weak and his speech of no account.”
Even if I am unskilled in speech, yet I am not so in knowledge. No, in every way we have made this clear to you in all things.
