Now it happened, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand when he came down from the mountain, that Moses did not know that the skin of his face was radiant, because God had spoken with him.

When Bnei-Yisrael saw it, they said one to another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. Then Moses said to them, “It is the bread that Adonai has given you to eat.

When He had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave the two tablets of the Testimony to Moses—tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain, with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand, tablets that were written on both sides, on one and on the other.

Bnei-Yisrael saw the face of Moses and that the skin of his face glistened. So Moses put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with Him.

Who is like the wise person? Who knows the meaning of a matter? A person’s wisdom makes his face shine, transforming the harshness of his face.

Now He was transfigured before them; His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy. They didn’t know what to answer Him.

He said to them, “Why were you searching for Me? Didn’t you know that I must be about the things of My Father?”

While He was praying, the appearance of His face changed, and His clothing flashed like white lightning.

But the man who had been healed didn’t know who it was, for Yeshua had slipped away into the crowd in that place.

Peter went out and kept following him—he didn’t know that what was happening with the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

Paul said, “I didn’t know, brothers, that he is the kohen gadol . For it has been written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”

Watching him intently, everyone who was sitting in the Sanhedrin saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

We are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face in order for Bnei-Yisrael not to look intently upon the end of what was passing away.

Then I turned and came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the ark I had made—and there they are, just as Adonai commanded me.

But the woman took the two men and hid them, and said: “Yes, the men did come to me, but I didn’t know where they were from.

So it came to pass when the king of Ai saw this, the men of the city hurried and rose up early, and went out to meet Israel in battle, he and all his people at the appointed place facing the Arabah. But he did not know that there was an ambush against him behind the city.

In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came forth a sharp, two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining at full strength.

Then I saw another powerful angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud with a rainbow over his head. His face was like the sun and his feet like pillars of fire.

Then she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” When he awoke from his sleep, he thought, “I’ll go out as at other times, and shake myself off.” He did not comprehend that Adonai had departed from him.
