Better is a handful with tranquility than two handfuls of toil and striving after the wind.

Better a little with righteousness than much income without justice.

Better a little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked.

Better is dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting with strife.

So I applied my heart to know wisdom as well as to know madness and folly. I learned that this too was pursuit of the wind.

Again I saw something futile under the sun:

I have seen all the deeds done under the sun; and behold, all is meaningless and chasing after the wind.
