“I commanded Joshua at that time saying, ‘Your eyes have seen all that Adonai your God has done to these two kings. Adonai will do the same to all the kingdoms you are about to cross into.

Adonai is a stronghold for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble.

He who rescued us from so great a danger of death will continue to rescue us—we have set our hope on Him that He will rescue us again.

For Messiah’s sake, then, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Now to Him who is able to do far beyond all that we ask or imagine, by means of His power that works in us,

until Adonai gives rest to your brothers as He has for you, and they also possess the land that Adonai your God is giving them across the Jordan. Then you may return, each man to his possession that I have given you.’

You must not fear them, for it is Adonai your God who fights for you.’

the great trials that your eyes saw, the signs and wonders, and the mighty hand and outstretched arm by which Adonai your God brought you out. So will Adonai your God do to all the peoples you fear.

Then Joshua said to them, “Never fear or be dismayed. Chazak! Be strong! For thus will Adonai do to all your enemies whom you will fight.”
