“When you make any kind of loan to your neighbor, you are not to go into his house to get his pledge.
Rather, you must surely open your hand to him and you must surely lend him enough for his need—whatever he is lacking.
“Do not despise God, or curse a ruler of your people.
for that is his only covering, his cloak for his skin. What will he sleep in? When he cries out to Me I will hear, because I am gracious.
You are to stand outside, and the man to whom you are making the loan is to bring the pledge outside to you.
For you took pledges from your brothers for no reason; you stripped the naked of their clothing.
