But the serpent was shrewder than any animal of the field that Adonai Elohim made. So it said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from all the trees of the garden’?”

A man tormented by the guilt of murder flees to the Pit—let no one support him.

Do not judge by appearance, but judge righteously.”

The natives showed us unusual kindness. Because it had started raining and it was cold, they kindled a fire and welcomed us all.

But when Paul had gathered a bundle of brushwood and placed it on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened on his hand.

However, Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no harm.

But for the cowardly and faithless and detestable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars—their lot is in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
