Now Adam named his wife Eve because she was the mother of all the living.

These three were Noah’s sons, and from these the whole earth dispersed.

He makes nations great and destroys them. He enlarges the nations and leads them away.

Since his days are determined, the number of his months is with You, You have set his limits, which he cannot exceed.

But I have trusted in You, Adonai. I said: “You are my God.”

You set all the borders of earth. You made summer and winter.

Wail, O gate! Cry, O city! Melt away, all you of Philistia! For smoke is coming from the north, and there is no straggler in its ranks.

Yet He did not leave Himself without a witness—He did good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with joy and gladness.”

For as in Adam all die, so also in Messiah will all be made alive.

The first man is of the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven.

how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? It was first spoken through the Lord and confirmed to us by those who heard.
