Those escorting Paul brought him as far as Athens. After receiving an order for Silas and Timothy to come to him as soon as possible, they left.

So they were sent on their way by the Antioch community. They were passing through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and they were bringing great joy to all the brothers and sisters.

Then the brothers immediately sent Paul away to the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained there.

Now while Paul was waiting for them in Athens, his spirit was aroused within him when he saw that the city was full of idols.

Now all the Athenians and foreigners visiting there used to pass their time doing nothing but telling or hearing something new.

So Paul stood in the middle of the Aereopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I see that in all ways you are very religious.

After these things, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.

Now when Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul became occupied with the message, urgently testifying to the Jewish people that Yeshua is the Messiah.

So when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left behind alone in Athens.

When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, hurry to come to me in Nicopolis, for I have decided to winter there.
