As soon as it was night, the brothers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. Upon arrival, they made their way to the Jewish synagogue.

In those days, Peter stood up among the brothers and sisters (the number of names all together was about a hundred and twenty) and said,

But the disciples took Saul by night and let him down over the wall, lowering him in a basket.

On the contrary, after we had first suffered and been mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to tell you the Good News of God—even in the midst of much opposition.
