For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and magnifying God. Then Peter answered,

These signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak new languages;

And when Paul laid hands upon them, the Ruach ha-Kodesh came upon them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.

(both Jewish people and proselytes), Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring in our own tongues the mighty deeds of God!”

They were all filled with the Ruach ha-Kodesh and began to speak in other tongues as the Ruach enabled them to speak out.
