Samuel then went to Ramah, while Saul went up to his house in Gibeah of Saul.
They rose up early in the morning and worshipped before Adonai, then went back to their home to Ramah. Then Elkanah was intimate with his wife Hannah, and Adonai remembered her.
Saul also went home to Gibeah, accompanied by men of valor whose hearts God had touched.
When the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul and spoke these words in the hearing of the people, all the people lifted up their voice and wept.
Then his return was to Ramah, because his home was there, and from there he would judge Israel. So he built an altar to Adonai there.
